Timsbury Pre-School is managed by a Volunteer Committee. The Committee work in close co-operation with the Managers and staff and is responsible for reviewing policies, employing staff, fundraising and strategic decision-making. The  committee also organise extra curricular activities such as Sports Day, the Summer outing, the Nativity play and Christmas party.

The Committee is elected at an Annual General Meeting, held in November and members serve for a minimum of one year. You can join the Committee at any time during the year; more information can be obtained, in the first instance, from one of the Managers or Committee Chair.

The Committee meets once a month - usually on the second Wednesday, and you can arrange to observe if you wish to get a better understanding of its role.

Without a Committee the pre-school would have to close so it is really important that we have continuing interest. It is a great way to meet other parents and the meetings are social events in themselves (usually held in the pub!).
